Husbands are Coming Home - Leadership that is Being Anointed for This Time

As I was praying with a good friend earlier, I began to see an image of her husband coming home from work. It appeared as if he had been gone for a while - he appeared distressed - his clothes were dirty, a bag of clothes was slung over his shoulder, and he was wiping his boots on the doormat. I could sense that he was home for a while and I kept hearing in my spirit “he’s come home”, a homecoming of the heart. I knew he was returning to his first love - the heart of God manifest in his family. I began seeing that the approval, affirmation and validation that he thought he would find at work, he was going to experience at home.

I then saw the husband at the top of the house in an attic - in the image it looked like the apex of a triangle, symbolizing the upper-room of his wife’s heart - a place of intimacy. The attic was dusty and unkempt but as the husband came before the Father in this room, it began to transform. I believe God was confirming that he is trading in his job in the world for his spiritual job as the head of the household.

Later this evening, I felt the Spirit confirming that this word is for many… that husbands are coming home and finding their places as the provider - providing spiritual provision that manifests the abundance of God, stepping into their role more than ever as ‘husband’ - positioned to love and behold their bride, and ‘father’ - expressing the deep, unconditional and compassionate heart of the Father…

I believe we’re continuing to see God move us into supernatural order as he “takes care of things at home” positioning us for a great move into supernatural family that is healthy and functional… that produces great fruit for His great glory. I believe as He is bringing us into deeper alignment with Him in our marriages, we are going to also experience a great productivity as things that were once done by one are instead done by two that have become one. I believe He is getting things ready for the next season of promise and abundance that will have been birthed out of marriages that have been baptized - washed by His redemptive blood and resurrected to reflect His glory, unveiling His heart in ways that will usher in the perpetual love of the Father. These marriages are going to be experiencing a revival… deep humility and repentance that leads to revival, the one we have been longing for…

Reflection

  1. Has there been tension coming up in your marriage?

  2. How might this be preparing you for your husband stepping into his place in the home God has for you both?

  3. Are there any areas that He is inviting us as wives to let go of so that we can partner with the Holy Spirit in ushering our husband into this place? Any areas of forgiveness?

Would love to hear comments and reflections below!
