The story.

The story.

Hi, my name is Nicole and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, therapist and founder of Homemaker Counseling, but my foremost identity is Daughter.

From Orphan to Daughter

Homemaker Therapy is based on the transparent and vulnerable story of one girl who, unbeknownst to her, was on a wild and unrequited pursuit to know the deep love of the Father. A self-will run riot, she spent most of her life struggling between being passionately in love with Jesus and desperately searching to fill the God-shaped hole in her heart, searching to love and to be loved and longing to burn with a holy and all-consuming passion for Jesus.

It was when she stumbled into an obscure and oddly-gothic tattoo shop scratching the surface of a few weeks sober from drugs and alcohol and barely holding on to a few promising thoughts of hope, that she began to encounter what she knows now to be the Holy Spirit. Completely enthralled and utterly mystified, she began being fed, in ways that would begin fabricating a firm foundation that would keep her from being misled.

It was here that she met Jesus in the wildflowers. It was here that she met the Love of the Father and came to know herself as a daughter.

From Daughter to Wife

She entered into marriage as a girl who was still learning how to receive love. Marriage became a mirror, revealing what remained unhealed, surfacing old wounds and ancient rhythms passed down through generations. Yet within that unveiling came invitation: what is exposed can be transformed. What is surrendered can be redeemed. What is healed, God multiplies.

After fighting through another layer of submitting self to love, she began learning to hear His voice above the noise of the past, to walk in wisdom rather than reaction, to cultivate safety where fear once ruled. Marriage became an altar — a holy place where old stories were laid down and rewritten by grace, where pain was exchanged for testimony, and covenant became the birthplace of blessing.

Breaking Cycles, Building Blessing

Marriage was never meant to be a reenactment of old wounds — it was designed to be a ground where the Kingdom of God advances. As she continued to trust God with her heart, He reshaped her marriage. As her marriage grew whole, it began to release peace, stability, and life — not only for her household, but for generations yet unseen.

This is how generational blessing is unlocked: when one son or daughter chooses healing over hiding, truth over survival, and belief over rebellion.

Healthy marriages cultivate healthy families.
Healthy families reshape legacies.

Her home has become a sanctuary — a dwelling place of freedom and rest — where chains from the past fall away and seeds of promise are planted deep into the soil of future generations.

The Heart Behind Homemaker Therapy

Homemaker Therapy is birthed out of this story. The compassion for others fighting to walk with Jesus and desperate to get free from bondage to know the heart of Father God. It is the commitment to walk with others who have been lost and are longing to come home - to know true love and to be truly loved. To experience the security of our identity as legitimate children, the foundation of health homes. It’s recognziing that our wandering has been a search for this type of home.
